G TECHNOLOGIES: LATEST
GENERATION ENERGY SAVING UV, I.R. AND HOTAIR DRYING SYSTEMS
G Technologies Srl have been operating in the
field of Graphic Arts as suppliers of ultraviolet-,
infrared- and hot air drying systems meant for printing- and varnishing
processes on paper, cardboard, plastics and metal by realizing the mechanical-,
electrical- and electronic parts (Hardware and Software) inside their own
factory. Thanks to the acquired experience through the years and the
cooperation with the major machine constructors- and refurbishers, the company
designs and produces technological solutions to apply on sheetfed- and web offset machines, flexographic machines, rotogravure,
tin printing presses, corrugated board machines, silk-screen, ink-jet and
special applications. The attention turned to the exacting Graphic Arts
market in fact drives G Technologies to always look for and apply new
technological solutions meant to guarantee a greater productivity of machines
as well as a significant energy saving. These
many years of experience and research in which the company is continuously
committed make of G Technologies a firm always at the forefront in the world.
IT-UV: The innovative
UV drying system made by G Technologies
The new IT-UV system come from the spirit of
innovation of G Technologies as well as their continuous research in the field
of UV drying processes applied to graphic industry. Such technological evolution
was born thanks to the collaboration with Colorgraf
SpA, an Italian leader company in ink and varnish production that developed
a series of highly reactive inks suitable for printing both on paper and
plastic substrates. On the other side the R&D dept. of G Technologies
realized a new drying system able to cure a four-color printing by installing
one single end-of-press lamp only, giving a perfect curing at the max. speed
and reducing downtimes between printing and further processing. The IT-UV
system is managed by the innovative IESC (Innovative Energy Saving Control), a
fully digital UV lamp feeding electronic system providing for the only
necessary drying energy. Thanks to this particular device the energy
consumption is considerably reduced and it is possible, on “stand-by”
condition, to automatically and in real time cut down lamp power till to recover the 90% about of the feeding energy
without lamp to shut down. Finally,
since lamps do only work at a specific wavelength, it is important to point out
that no ozone is produced, so there is no need of additional air exhausting
ducts.
Hence the new
IT-UV system offers notable both economic and environment benefits:
·
It
is an economical system, one single end-of-press lamp is enough to cure a
four-color printing at the max. speed
·
Considerable
energy saving thanks to the IESC system which cuts down UV lamp power on
stand-by condition till to recover the 90% about of the emitted energy
·
Drastic
heat emission reduction on printed substrate: + 4-5° C compared with ambient
temperature
·
No
ozone emission for UV lamp higher performance and longer lifespan
·
Immediate
drying with consequent downtimes reduction between printing and subsequent
processing
·
No
printing substrate influence, the IT-UV system is suitable both for paper,
board and plastic substrates
The new IT-UV system can be both installed on
new generation machines and specifically “retrofitted” on existing ones. The many years of experience and
research of new printing technologies make
G Technologies a firm which
is always in the world forefront.
